Australia Day Awards

Citizen of the Year

Nominees aged 26 years and over as at 31 December 2025. They must either live, work or study in the Campbelltown local government area and have either made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years.

Young Citizen of the Year

Nominees aged 25 years and under as at 31 December 2025. They must either live, work or study in the Campbelltown local government area and have either made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years.

Nominees aged 65 years or older as at 31 December 2025. They must live in the Campbelltown local government area and have either made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years.

Sports Award

Recognises the work of an individual that has devoted time, energy and passion to sporting pursuits in the Campbelltown local government area. This contribution can occur as an athlete, volunteer, supporter or anyone who has links to the various sporting groups and clubs in Campbelltown. The individual must have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years.

Community Group Initiative of the Year

Local community groups or other non-profit organisations within the Campbelltown local government area that have made significant contributions to the welfare of people, the quality of life, the arts, science, engineering, the environment or other fields of endeavor.

Diversity and Inclusion Award

Recognises an individual or group that has shown outstanding and innovative contributions that promote social inclusion, acceptance and understanding of human diversity in the Campbelltown local government area.

Environmental Citizen of the Year

Recognises the work of an individual, group or organisation that has devoted time, energy and passion to the Campbelltown local government area environment. This contribution can occur in the year prior to the award being presented or as recognition of a longstanding commitment or service to the Campbelltown environment.

All Abilities Award

A new category which recognises individuals in the Campbelltown local government area living with disability and celebrates someone who has gone above and beyond to achieve personally, or for the community as part of a broader activity or initiative.
