Blair Athol House 1880

Standing for close to 140 years, Blair Athol House, named after a small town in Scotland, is of aesthetic significance as a fine representative example of a Victorian Filigree style villa on a prominent hilltop overlooking Blair Athol, Campbelltown. Although witnessing so many changes and receiving a few renovations over this time, it has retained its visual relationship with historically related houses "The Kia" and "The Kraal" that also form part of the property.

Blair Athol House(PDF, 279KB) was built in the early 1880s by Scot John Kidd. He served many roles, including parliamentarian, Postmaster General, shopkeeper and a high profile member of the Presbyterian Church.
