Delegations and Exchange Programs

During 2002 to 2007, several visits took place between residents of both cities.

Commemorative Bus Trip

A special commemorative bus trip was organised for Campbelltown residents to visit Coonamble for its Gold Cup along with delegates from Campbelltown City Council. The tour was sold and promoted through the Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre to interested locals in Campbelltown and was a successful trip that encouraged tourists to visit Coonamble.

Campbelltown City's Festival of Fisher's Ghost celebrations

An art display was held in Campbelltown in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Campbelltown City Festival of Fisher's Ghost.

A delegation from Coonamble participated in Campbelltown City's Festival of Fisher's Ghost celebrations in 2002.

Coonamble Rodeo and Camp Draft

Several Campbelltown delegates visited the Coonamble Rodeo and Camp Draft, one of the largest such events in the southern hemisphere, between 2002 and 2006.

Staff exchange visit

Matthew Cook attended our offices on a staff exchange visit in August 2007 as the Environmental Health and Building Surveyor Cadet. Matthew gained experience in multi-storey buildings that were not currently available in Coonamble.
