Meet Eclipse,

Eclipse is the kind of cat who fits right into any home, whether you’re a first-time cat owner or a seasoned pro. She’s adaptable, easy going, and always carries a gentle, friendly energy wherever she goes.

She’s a happy little soul who loves to be social and affectionate, but every now and then, she’ll drift into her own world - staring off into space like she’s contemplating the mysteries of the universe. (We’re pretty sure she’s a deep thinker.)

Confident and curious, Eclipse enjoys engaging with her humans, but she also has a laid-back, lazy side - perfect for cozy evenings on the couch. Whether you’re looking for a social cat or a relaxed cuddle buddy, Eclipse is ready to brighten your home with her sweet and charming personality.

Eclipse is a sweet cat, who craves your love - she open to meet kids of any age! Eclipse loves to be cuddled, patted & scratched but she gets a bit fussy when she is picked up. She prefers to be on the ground, or perched up high where she can see what's happening around her. Although being picked up isn't her favourite thing, she will still allow you to do it.

As we cannot test, we are unsure if Eclipse would be suitable to live with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.

Eclipse has lived with cats previously, but when she met another cat in the cattery she was a little hesitant to interact. This could be because of her new found love of being in a condo on her own, or it could be that she just needs a little more time to make new feline friends. If introducing Eclipse to another cat, we always recommend a slow, gradual & controlled interaction over a few days, to give her the best chance of making permanent friends.

We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Eclipse loves being inside where she is warm & loved. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can be safe & sound & live her best life.

Eclipse has low energy levels. She seems interested in toys and will gently paw at them when offered to her, but what she truly enjoys more than anything is a comfy bed where she can show off her skilful biscuit making techniques!

Eclipse is not fussy with her food, eating any food offered to her. She also likes 'Temptation' treats. Although Eclipse is usually a quiet cat (apart from her purring, of course), meal time is the only time we actually hear her vocalise/meow.

Eclipse always uses her litter tray without any issues.

Staff Comments: Eclipse is known to be a little lazy but she's very affectionate. She loves getting pats & scratches when she is laying down for a nap. She is a very soft & gentle girl who loves to purr & make biscuits.

Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
