Meet Walker,
Walker is a happy-go-lucky adventurer with a curious nose and an energetic bounce in his step! He’s always up for exploring the backyard or chasing after toys. Walker is super affectionate and dog friendly, and he thinks kids are awesome playmates. If you’re after a little shadow with a goofy grin, Walker is your guy.
Walker would be a wonderful addition to any home — whether yours is a lively, bustling household or a peaceful retreat. Walker is adaptable, friendly, and eager to learn, making him a great fit for both first-time and experienced dog owners. Walker is affectionate and doesn't mind being picked up, carried, and cuddled so he would be suitable for families with children.
As he grows, Walker would love to join an active family or individual who enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it's beach trips, bush walks, or weekend picnics, he will be your enthusiastic little sidekick! If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and adventurous pup to complete your family, he might just be the perfect match!
Dog-friendly? Yes! Walker is open to meeting other dogs.
Cat-friendly? Unknown - we haven’t been able to test, so it’s up to her new family to introduce him carefully.
Kid-friendly? Absolutely! He open to meeting children of all ages.
Considerations:
Walker would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that she can play in it safely. He dreams of a home with toys - lots of toys! As well as daily exercise/walks to keep his body physically fit & his mind mentally fit. Treat/food puzzles are a great tool and great way to keep active puppy minds engaged!
Walker is starting to explore her surrounds & is growing in confidence each & every day. However, it would be a wise move to invest in a crate & start crate training. This type of training is not only a highly valuable skill to have but is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.
Walker should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as h is adopted. These classes & training will set him up for life and will allow him to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define her manners. These classes & training will also teach him how to appropriately interact with other dogs as well as other animals & people. These training classes will also assist his new owner, as they can both learn new skills together.
If you've got other animals at home, that's okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.

Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
