The land to which it applies: Lot 3900 in DP 1170905, known as Macarthur Grange Golf Club, Varroville
At its Meeting of 11 March 2025, Council endorsed a Planning Proposal, site specific DCP and Voluntary Planning Agreement in relation to the Macarthur Grange Golf Club, being Lot 3900 in DP1170905, Varroville.
The Macarthur Grange Planning Proposal seeks to enable the development of a Neighbourhood Scheme Community Title Subdivision of 52 environmental living lots, a “hospitality” precinct (approximately 3-4 ha), dedication of a linear open space ridge-aligned park, and a hilltop conservation reserve.
The objective of the VPA is to make payment of development contributions towards local infrastructure required in order to facilitate the development.
The Planning Agreement will result in the delivery of $14,488,633 of various infrastructure, including:
- Dedication of Land identified as “Regional Open Space Linkage” having an area of approximately 19.2ha, inclusive of 2 local lookout parks - $6,080,000
- Dedication of Land identified as “Eastern Ridgeline Linkage” having an area of approximately 19.2ha, inclusive of 2 local lookout parks - $1,280,000
- Dedication of Land identified as “Hilltop Conservation Reserve” having an area of approximately 33.7ha - $5,055,000
- Works identified as Western Ridgeline Open Space – $1,297,579
- Works identified as Lookout Park No. 1 – $540,639
- Works identified as Lookout Park No. 2 – $235,415
