Closed Meetings

Sometimes Council may discuss items that are confidential, and the meeting moves into 'closed session' mode. Under the Local Government Act, all recordings will be paused while in the 'closed session'.

During a meeting, before any part of the meeting is closed to the public, the Council may allow members of the public to present an argument against closing that part of the meeting.

The decisions of the Council resolved in ‘closed session’ will be read out when the meeting moves back into ‘open session’.
