Be aware and drive carefully in areas east of the train line, particularly at dusk, dawn and during the night.
If you hit a koala or any wildlife in your car, contact WIRES or Sydney Wildlife
Keep dogs secured while you are not at home and preferably indoors at night.
Ensure you walk your dog on a lead when you are outside your home or let you dog loose at one of our six off leash areas across the city. Notify Council if you see dogs roaming or un-leashed in public areas on 02 4645 4604

Plant koala food trees on your property.
Conserve koala habitat on your property if you live in a rural area.
Join your local Bushcare group or take part in one of our tree planting days.
On rural properties, ensure your fences are koala friendly (30cm gap at bottom, no barbed wire, wooden posts) and that a second internal secure fence (Colorbond or alike) is used to keep your dog in and koalas out.
Drape a secured piece of rope into your swimming pool to enable koalas to climb out if they fall in.
Become a Koalatown approved rural property by demonstrating the above on your property.
Support our dedicated wildlife carers by donating directly or purchasing a souvenir from the Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre where all profits go directly to supporting the amazing work they do for our wildlife.
Talk about Koalatown, place a sticker on your car, mailbox or bin and encourage your friends and family to visit our reserves and participate in programs to support Campbelltown’s koalas.
