Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools set to open with launch event

Locals eager to dive into the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools can now book their tickets for a special event to mark the opening of the pools on Saturday 31 August.
From 10am to 5pm, visitors can enjoy an opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting, kids’ inflatable activities, lawn games, roving entertainment and the newly opened pools.
“The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands has been embraced by our community as a wonderful place to explore and spend the day with family and friends,” Mayor Dr George Greiss said.
“Following a successful opening in June, we’re thrilled to open the pools to the public ahead of the busy summer season and provide our community with a great opportunity to enjoy the water as the weather starts to warm up,” Dr Greiss said.
Activities planned for the launch include:
- Official opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting
- Kids’ inflatable slides and soft play
- Rubber Duck Hide n’ Seek
- Bunting and garland decorations for photo opportunities
- Interactive mascots
- Roving magicians
- Lawn games
- Food trucks
Free tickets are required to enter this special event and can be accessed via Council’s website.
Following this special event on Saturday 31 August, the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm on weekends and public holidays only.
The Parklands, splash play area and all other features such as picnic huts ad BBQs will remain available whenever the facility is open.
Our summer season will kick off on 1 November, when access to the pools will be extended to include weekdays also.
