Campbelltown Arts Centre is excited to once again be hosting Fisher's Kids this year. This family-friendly celebration is even more significant as it marks the 40-year relationship between Campbelltown and its Japanese sister city, Koshigaya.

This free event, themed ‘Yonju’ (40 in Japanese), offers an evening filled with culture, creativity, and entertainment.

On Saturday 9 November, residents can enjoy a special outdoor screening of the beloved Japanese animated film ‘Spirited Away’, under the stars on the front lawn of Campbelltown Arts Centre.

The event will see the venue lit by fairy lights, creating an enchanting atmosphere for all ages.

“I strongly encourage residents to come down to Campbelltown Arts Centre and get involved in what promises to be an unforgettable night,” Mayor Darcy Lound said.

“We’re very proud of our relationship with Koshigaya and it’s wonderful that we can come together as a community with events like these to celebrate it.” Mr Lound said.

Locals will also be able to enjoy free workshops, activities, stalls and food throughout the night.

Screenings of Spirited Away include:

  • 4:00 pm: Early bird indoor screening
  • 6:30 pm: Outdoor screening on the lawn

Workshops will take place from 4pm-6.30pm and will include:

  • Learn the art of Origami
  • Create your own Twilight jars
