Darcy Lound elected Mayor of Campbelltown

Long-serving councillor Darcy Lound has been elected Mayor of Campbelltown at the first meeting of the new Council for the 2024-2028 term.
Cr Darcy Lound, who has served on Council since 2012, was elected uncontested to a two-year term as Mayor.
Cr Karen Hunt, who was first elected to Council in 2016, was elected to the role Deputy Mayor for a 12 month term.
Chief Executive Officer Lindy Deitz welcomed the new councillors to Council.
“I’d like to congratulate Cr Lound and Cr Hunt on their election as Mayor and Deputy Mayor and extend a welcome to the new and returning councillors,” Ms Deitz said.
“This next term promises to be another busy period for our city and I look forward to working with each of our councillors to ensure we are delivering for our community each day while also planning for the future of Campbelltown,” she said.
Cr Lound has been elected as Mayor for a two-year term until September 2026 and Cr Hunt has been elected as Deputy Mayor for a 12 month term until September 2025.
