Raby Indoor Cricket Centre redevelopment starts
Local cricketers will soon be able to train in a new state-of-the-art indoor cricket facility to be built at Raby Oval.
The $4.86 million project will include six lanes and nets, increasing the capacity of the facility for all-weather training year-round.
Campbelltown Mayor Dr George Greiss turned the first sod on the project alongside Member for Leppington Nathan Hagarty MP, Campbelltown-Camden District Cricket Club President Hon. Morris Iemma, Campbelltown-Camden District Cricket along with Dean Hunter and David Tricca from Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia.
“Raby Sports Complex is one of Campbelltown’s premier sporting precincts with a fantastic reputation across Sydney,” Mayor George Greiss said.
“The new indoor cricket centre will supplement the existing world-class facilities and increase opportunities for high performance training and coaching in the region to ensure the next generation of local cricket stars can learn and develop their skills,” Dr Greiss said.

The project is funded by Council, the NSW Government through the NSW Greater Cities Sport Facility Fund and NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fundas well as Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW.
