Leisure Conditions of Entry

Help us help you to stay safe while at our Leisure Centres.

We want to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience and therefore all persons entering our facilities must adhere to the following conditions of entry:

General conditions of entry

  1. Council staff may request a person to provide their drivers licence or Government issued identification document to verify identity. Council staff will respect cultural differences and medical conditions in verifying a person’s identity, however Council staff reserve the right to either refuse entry or remove anyone whose identity cannot be established.
  2. Staff have the right to refuse entry to any person. Staff may request for the removal of a patron/s if in the opinion of staff such patron/s are engaging in disruptive or disorderly conduct. No refunds will be given in the event of an eviction.
  3. While in the centre, patrons may participate in a recreational activity which involves inherent risks.
  4. Patron/s, including those with special needs, and those under their care and control enter the centre, participate in the programs and classes and use the facilities within the centre entirely at their own risk. Staff will not provide individual care.
  5. Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage to personal property whether in the Centre or elsewhere.
  6. Patrons are to follow directions of staff. In case of an emergency evacuation, staff will assist patrons to the evacuation point.
  7. Bag/s, cooler bag/s or esky/s may be checked prior to entering the facility to ensure prohibited items do not enter the facility.
  8. Benches, tables and gazebo’s for personal use are not permitted to be brought into the centre.
  9. Mobile phones and cameras are not permitted to be used in change rooms.
  10. Individuals involved in the distribution of or who are under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol are not permitted in the centre.
  11. Patrons are not permitted to take videos or photographs of individuals without their consent.
  12. CCTV cameras are recording throughout the internal and external areas of the centre.
  13. Companion animals that are registered with the Office of Local Government are permitted entry into the venue. Companion animals are not permitted into the pools or splash play areas. Companion animals must remain on leash at all times. A Companion Animal Certificate of Registration/ Identification will be required to be presented at reception.
  14. To the full extent permitted by law, the centre and Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any injury or death, or costs associated, to any person whilst in the centre.
  15. Failure to comply with this notice is an offence under the Lands Protection Act 1901.

Aquatic conditions of entry (in addition to general conditions of entry)

  1. Children aged 0-5 years and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain continuous supervision and remain within arm’s reach. 1 Parent / Legal Guardian /Adult to 2 Children.
  2. Children 6-10 years and weak swimmers must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must be close, monitor and maintain constant visual contact and be prepared to assist children if needed. 1 Parent / Legal Guardian / Adult to 4 Children.
  3. Children aged 11-14 years must be accompanied by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over), who must maintain visual contact.
  4. Children 11 years and older may be non-swimmers or weak swimmers therefore supervision by a Parent, Legal Guardian or responsible Adult (18 years or over) should not be restricted by age in these circumstances.
  5. All large, informal groups arriving at the aquatic facility may be required to participate in a brief to the entry policies and may be refused entry.
  6. Appropriate swimwear is to be worn when entering the pools and splash park.
  7. Individuals should use the toilet and showers before entering the water. Babies and children who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swimming nappy and ensure regular toilet breaks are taken.
  8. Individuals with contagious infections are not permitted to enter the pools and splash park.
  9. No food or drinks are permitted in the pool/s and splash park. 

Fitness services and programs conditions of entry

  1. The minimum age requirement for non-weights based group fitness classes and cardiovascular equipment is 14 years.
  2. The minimum age requirement for weights based group fitness and unsupervised resistance training is 16 years.
  3. Enclosed, non-slip footwear and clothing must be worn at all times.
  4. Towels must be used at all times, If you do not have a towel, the centre provides for hire.

Indoor sports conditions of entry

  1. Enclosed, non-slip footwear and clothing must be worn at all times.
  2. No food or drinks are permitted on the courts.

Prohibited activities and items

The following activities and items are prohibited:

  • Diving
  • Dunking
  • Bombing
  • Pushing
  • Running
  • Littering
  • Bodyboards
  • Large inflatable devices, with the exception of baby ring floaties and arm bands
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades
  • Gazebos, beach umbrellas and cabanas
  • Bad language
  • Alcohol
  • Glass
  • Knives, with the exception of plastic and bamboo knives
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Animals
