What happens to my private booking hire if it rains?

In the event of wet weather, we recommend that the hirer make an assessment of the centre's track at the commencement of the booking time.

  • The track dries very quickly after light showers.
  • Bookings should proceed if possible.
  • A covered sheltered area is available if it rains during the period of hire. However, in the event of prolonged and persisting wet weather, we suggest the booking not go ahead.

Refund requests will only be considered if the centre is completely unusable due to inclement weather during the period of hire.

For a refund to be considered you need to submit a written request. This must be done on the first working day after the hire period, when the key and traffic lights remote control unit are returned.

All refund applications will be considered at the discretion of Council. If you cancel your booking due to rain, you will be refunded any monies that you paid for the booking. A cancellation fee as per Council's current fees and charges may apply.

What if I change my mind about my private booking hire, can I cancel?

We require a cancellation period of 21 days prior to hire date. Failing to meet this condition will result in a cancellation fee, according to Council's current fees and charges. This booking is not transferable and can not be sub-leased to another hirer.
