National Tree Day 2024

Join us and take in some fresh air, get your hands dirty and protect our environment on Sunday 28 July.

We will be planting at Milton Park, Macquarie Fields - which will see 1000 plants installed to improve critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland.

Council’s Natural Team in partnership with Greening Australia, the Redfern Creek Bushcare Group and local schools will be hosting National Tree Day at Milton Park, Macquarie Fields between 10am and 3pm for up to 100 community volunteers, Koalatown supporters and local High Schools and Primary Schools in Macquarie Fields.

The project will see planting of 1000 native trees and shrubs, which will build on the 4,500 native stems planted as part of larger collaboration with Greening Australia within Milton Park in 2022 and 2023.
