Scattergood Reserve Bushcare

Scattergood - Georges River

About Scattergood Reserve Bushcare

If you have a passion for the outdoors and would you like to know more about our local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, come along and join our Scattergood Reserve Bushcare volunteer group. You will also pick up some new skills along the way.

Scattergood Reserve is part of the Georges River Corridor and supports both Sandstone and Shale-Sandstone Transition Forest communities. It is a beautiful reserve known for its diverse birdlife and range of marsupials including possums, gliders and koalas.

Our work here focuses on re-habilitating the bushland along the minor creeklines close to the reserves suburban edge.

As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your part for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, weed management and of course, wildlife spotting.

No experience is necessary to attend these events, as we will provide you with all the training you need.
