School Holiday workshop - vegetable gardens for kids

Autumn2.jpeg

In this workshop children will learn the different parts of a plant, what things vegetables need to grow, why vegetables are important and how to look after them.

Participants will:

  • learn how to make a recycled newspaper pot and take a seedling to plant at home
  • participate in creating a vegetable garden bed together
  • help improve the soil, add mulch, plant some seedlings and water the garden in.

Children will also be able to check out the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living's vegetable farm and visit Lulu the Pig, Belle the Sheep and the chickens.

So book in quick to grab your spot for a fun holiday activity for children aged 5 to 12 years.
