About Bushcare

If you have a passion for the outdoors and would you like to know more about our local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, come along and join our Simmo’s Beach Bushcare volunteer group. You will also pick up some new skills along the way.

Simmo’s Beach reserve is one of Campbelltowns premier bushland sites. It is part of the beautiful Georges River Corridor and supports both Sandstone and Shale-Sandstone Transition forest habitats. Our work here focuses on the rehabilitation of both weed-impacted parts of the reserve and its adjacent tributaries

As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your part for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, weed management and of course, wildlife spotting.

No experience is necessary to attend these events, as we will provide you with all the training you need.
