Rhyme and Reason, a Hip-Hop history, songwriting, and recording workshop during NSW Youth Week (April 9-17, 2025). This interactive event will take place over a single day on April 8th, running from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and will feature a series of workshops, each lasting two hours.

About the Program

The program is designed to provide young people with an immersive experience in Hip-Hop culture, history, and music creation.

Each workshop will include

  • Hip-Hop History Session: An in-depth look into the history of the MC (rapper) and the evolution of Hip-Hop as a global cultural movement.
  • Collaborative Songwriting: Participants will select a subject matter and work together to write an original song.
  • Recording Session: The song will be professionally recorded with guidance from Stan Bravo, a renowned Hip-Hop artist and mentor.
  • Professional Production: The final track will be professionally mixed and mastered, providing participants with a high-quality recorded song they can keep.

About Stan Bravo

Stan Bravo is an award-nominated Hip-Hop recording artist and music industry professional. Originally from the Bronx, New York, and now based in Australia, Stan has been a pivotal figure in the local and international Hip-Hop scene.

With a career spanning over two decades, he has opened for some of the biggest Hip-Hop acts in the world and was regarded as "Sydney’s Rhyme King" at a young age.

Stan has worked in radio, podcasting, and artist development, helping emerging talent navigate the music industry. He's also produced and mentored countless young artists, using Hip-Hop as a tool for empowerment and self-expression. Through Rhyme and Reason, Stan Bravo brings his industry expertise and mentorship to young creatives, offering them an authentic and professional music experience.
